Flowers on Flowers…On Monterey

Remember this spectrum? Well if that was beach grunge then this is more California laid back casual…linen, semi-distressed denim…purple flowers, the sound of the ocean….ahh 😊

Escaping to Monterey for the weekend is always SUCH an easy trip. Just a couple hours, or 1 Le Youth mix later, and your on a beach vacaaaayyyytion! Not this kind but this kind. Well no, Monterey is usually this. I do commend the place for being consistentlyyyy so quiet and SO relaxing…due to all the old fogies and retirees of course. 👴👵😜

Even though there has been a couple times where I’ll ‘bring the party’ resulting in a wildly undeserved noise complaint,😏 this time was a chill retreat with a couple of my best buds. Although… we did manage to drink EVERY bottle of wine in sight and end the trip with a selfie video to Madonna’s La Isla Bonita. Typical. So. Typical.

I will say though that these all yellow rubber converse were the perfect addition to my chucks shrine last winter. The best thing about them?!? They are my rainbows (sorry typo) rainBOOTS in the winter and my sunshine shoes in the summer! And who knew how “beach appropriate” they would be playing hot lava jumping around wet tide pool rocks.👍

I feel like a berry smoothie….staring at these purple flowers is definitely making me want one, with like the blueberry pieces in it, you know what I’m talking bout? YUM. Why is it so hard to find smoothies in the city?! SOMEONE ANSWER ME THAT. I digress…

And you know the rest. Levi’s 501 CT are never a bad thing, like I think (if I’m being really honest here) I wear them ever other day 😁… and linen in the summer or ANY vacation is basically a requirement.
