I was intrigued by Allbirds after reading an article in 7×7, because of my massive addition to soft clothing. Seriously, I feel like a drug addict every time I run my hand down a ultra soft tee or sweater – hence my robe uniform 24/7 at home. But I never DREAMED of having the same experience with sneakers! 😸💕
Sad to admit I will not be making the much anticipated trek to Indio today, like every other Coachella goer is gearin up for. (Shameless plug: I’m selling 2 tickets to Weekend 2, if you want them comment below!). For all you desert bound folks or anyone already down there who’s starting the party, I made my Coachella 2k16 essential mix to get you guys PUMPED.
In college I wasn’t kidding when I said my favorite colors were rainbow, glitter & shiny gold!!✨🌟 🌈 🌟 ✨ Maybe it’s the gay man in me but I cannot resist anything sparkly or shiny. LOVE the shine. 🙌 And because of that I have an addiction to buying metallic & sequin things. Seriously I feel like a moth always flying towards that bright light — maybe moth is a gross reference lol, speaking of have you seen one up close?!? SICK 😝
If you like staring at pretty glass bottles (or maybe just like alcohol) as much as I do, you will be in HEAVEN at Alchemy Bottle Shop. discovered this place a few weeks back on a little weekend jaunt to Oakland and it’s been all I can think about since! 😁
Gunna start integrating different types of booze related things on Sippin’ Sundays so here’s the first – the best/cutest bottle booze shop in the bay!
Let’s be clear on one thing: just because the rest of the fashion world catapulted into spring season doesn’t mean we all did! Although, I did actually here birds chirping on my way to work this morning for a few blissful moments right before a homeless man shouted. 😁
Than I proceeded to ride muni observing 90% of the passengers in dark colors, 20% in all black, literally. Then to my surprise, I noticed at a lady sitting in a freakin’ red quilted puff coat with fur hood (like what?!😱)….. Call me crazy but something tells me, us San Franciscans are still transitioning (no pun intended😜).
SO for some style tips on how to not succumb to the pressure of spring’s bright style trends read on below:
Coachella time rolls around and I let up on the diehard rule I’ll “sacrifice comfort for fashion” because, let me tell you (from several years of experience), you do NOT want to be uncomfortable or it will ruin your ENTIRE festival day. Between the unbearable heat and constant dancing on your feet, I always gravitate towards loose fitting clothing and comfy shoes – preferably sneakers.
Tbh, my #1 recommendation for finding a killer Coachella outfit? Get off here and go to a friggin’ thrift store!! haha but yes, you’re bound to find pieces there that’ll make you stand out amongst the flower crown crowd (yeesh). But since we can’t ALL go thrifting together (FYI I’m going Saturday for any SF locals that wanna join!)… I’ve collected some of the coolest stuff on the interwebs to get you ALL ready for the festival of the year.
Last weekend I hopped on that choo choo train and attempted some much needed spring cleaning. But here’s the deal, I much prefer to think of it as spring “reorganizing.” 😊
I wouldn’t call myself a hoarder (despite what my gf thinks ha 😝) but I do like to hold onto certain pieces even when they may not be tip top trendy. Yes I support the ritual of cleaning out your closet once a year, but I’m here to tell you IT’S OKAY to keep some stuff! Hell, I’ll argue for it any day because you never know when that style is gunna come back and you’ll have a one of a kind piece on your hands. I’m an #enabler 🙋😁
That’s why I’m starting the revolution! Forget spring cleaning let’s all spring reorganizeeee our livessss.👊 No doubt living in any city means limited closet space, but I’ve found that instead of purging a lot of my clothes it’s all about how you reorganize them. 👌
