I would typically title a food post, “Eat here: The Healdsburg SHED” but this place is a much more than a restaurant, it’s a destination.
No joke, I’ve been dreaming of visiting The SHED for almost 2 years now, and I’m pleased to report that it lives up to the hype. If you’re heading up wine tasting in Healdsburg it’s a MUST stop for lunch, or dinner after tasting. Through the doors, engulfed in a (V extra) trendy atmosphere, I knew this was going to be the California “farm-to-table” chic meal I had envisioned.
If I wasn’t beyond starving from the long drive I would have immediately been distracted by all the craft liqueurs and sauces or the ceramic upscale knick-knacks that make me feel like I’m a true “adult.”

The ultimate trendy vibe with the ultimate fresh ingredients make for a lunch that cannot disappoint. BTW most of the food served is grown within a 10 mile radius! Ummm can we talk about fresh!? Cause the definition of “fresh” is now just, “the shed.”
FAVORITE DISHES:
Mezze Plate – what I thought was the underdog of our order turned out to be in my top! All that hummus and beet mixtures with olives were a delicious and saucy starter. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Heirloom Beets and Stone Fruit – I can be hit or miss with beets but this was a home run! The beets had a curry-esque flavor that paired perfectly with the yogurt underneath (and slightly masked the usual overly beet flavor, an extra plus).
Summer Melon and Cucumber – an elevated watermelon feta salad, I could eat this every summers day and not get sick of it.
Halibut Ceviche – the freshest and lightest ceviche I’ve had. I felt skinnier and healthier with every bite 😂
Honestly there wasn’t one thing on the table that I didn’t enjoy, even some of the more adventurous anchovy and pate tartines. Can’t go wrong washing it all down with a cold rosé either, but we also got a few French 25 cocktails, because why not! we drove 2 hours to get there after all! #rewards.
Now… WHEN CAN I GO BACK?!!?!? 😩📆🙏🏼
