Shop the Trend: Lavender for Spring

During NYFW I noticed the uptake in purple hues across many of the fall/winter runways. Now I see the color flooded across styles in my online shopping escapades. It’s official guys, purple is here! 🔮☮️🍆💜🍇🌂

Dare I go as far to say the coveted millennial pink is out and purple is IN. YES. I dare!

Pantone’s color of the year (ultra violet) is manifesting in fashion through a variety of purple shades, but my favorite right now? Lavender.  These sneakers were my first lavender purchase (classic me) but I shifted to slightly more “adventurous” styles when I got this crop top at the new Reformation store on Fillmore (👈😲) last week.

Let’s call a spade a spade, this itty bitty crop is hardly adventurous. More cutesy, dainty and feminine – all the things that I want to incorporate in my spring wardrobe after a heavy winter. It’s the perfect shade for spring, and will carry throughout the year. As an early adopter of the trend, I’m ready to heat and serve for  breakfast, lunch and dinner. After all, it’s supposed to be calming right? I could use some of that in my life. 😉

I can’t wait to see what other brands or new styles take on lavender into their palette.  Who knows maybe in summer the purple hue will shift to a brighter more “true to ultra violet” shade and then deepen for the fall. But until further notice, my eyes are set on these new lavender pieces. 👀💜
