I love mixing prints, being bold and loud, funky yet chic. 💫💥🌸🌟🌈 As important as it is to push the limits at festivals, it’s equally important to know when to reel it back to avoid getting lost in a crowd of overly-styled, trying-to-hard folks 😬….. Gotta nail that laid back, effortless, cool girl festival vibe!! You know, the Joe Cool kinda effort. ✔️😎✔️

If there is one thing bringing people out to the desert right now it’s CoachellaDesert X. 😉 But really, this multi-installation art experience is something you don’t wanna miss – or just risk being the lamest one at the party. 😜😜

But the Philip K Smith “Circle of Land and Sky,” was satisfying enough that I got over the screw up. Formed by 300 geometric reflectors angled at 10 degrees, the artwork directly engages with the desert surroundings (land) and the endless heavens (sky). With the rotating sunlight and reflections, it never looks the same twice. 🙌🙌
So here’s my PSA: Coachella is not the only cool, trendy thing to experience down south. Go for the fest, stay for the art. ✌️👣
One of the biggest trends for spring is the revival of the hoodie (round of applause). No longer is it just the item you toss on braless at home, or to run curbside to snag your food delivery, or to cover your greasy hair when you go to the movies on a Friday night… (not like I’m speaking from personal experience or anything)…

For the first time in 2 years, I’ll be headed back down! Major BOOYAH right there. Gotta be frank with you though, a bit nervous/intimidated! I know I always talk about owning the scene, commanding the crowd, blah blah and YES THAT’S CORRECT (don’t you dare forget it); but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel that moment of vulnerability sometimes. The festival fashion scene has absolutely exploded in the last couple years. Bursting at the seams. And I have yet to experience this madness…kinda daunting no?

I say Coachella veteran because this look is not messing around – I’m here to party. 🆒 Having been there 4 years running, there is something to be said for being comfortable if you’re doing the ALL day at the fest. Retro sneakers are must, a (breathable) uniqueeecrochet top, visor for the unforgiving sun and backpack become my Coachella day 3 essentials. Gotta make it through!

This beer rec has been a longggg time comin’… ever since I moved to SF, aka next door to Healthy Spirits (the best craft beer store in SF), I found this cute lil BOMB! beer and it’s been my go-to stout ever since.😛👍🍺 I mean, how could it not be when it’s infused with coffee, chocolate, vanilla bean, and ancho chili pepper…only like the 4 best ingredients EVERRRRR. ☕️🍫🍰🌶👍
