First off, shout out to my Dad (you RULE) for this epic Opening Ceremony purchase! 👈 These platform boots have been adding major umph to my looks ever since he handed me them a month ago. Power I didn’t even knew I needed, or wanted… and now can’t live without.
They were the perfect shoes for NYFW, and beyond. When these babies are laced up and ready to rock, I quite literally crush the day… and every bug, gum or bit of gritty New York City sidewalk I canvas. 😝
Sporting them around SF, (or even in Lake Tahoe this past weekend), is no different. They’re like Dorthy’s ruby slippers for the Wicked Witch of the West, magic in their empowerment. I feel in charge in platform boots.⚡️👊⚡️ Sure, maybe it’s the fact I become prob 6’3″ with them on 🙃🙊, but I can for sure say it’s the weight and strength they carry…I know anyone else who ventured to try this style would feel the same. The badass is undeniable. ✔️😎🆒
With the heavy resurgence of the 90s, and my regret of not being a cooler middle school kid, these boots totally manifested themselves into my life; and WHAT a killer boot trend to be going on right now!! Am I right?!
I wasn’t a 90s kid wearing flannel, chokers (unless you count puka shells 😳), and listening to Nirvana; but instead shopping at Limited Too and listening to radio Disney haha. So as you can see, now’s my chance! My 90s grunge dreams come true!! That laidback, cool, DGAF attitude – YES PLEASE!
….Although I made the look my own by adding a touch of glam with some gold earrings, a red lip and lace turtleneck, naturally. 💄✨ Falling back to my style bible of mixing masculine and feminine.
