I actually got this kimono over a year ago at one of my favorite vintage stores and it elicited quite the negative reaction from my girlfriend. But I’ve learned over time that the things she doesn’t like, tend to be the realllll gems (it just takes her a while to catch up 😉) Well, it looks like the world did too because I’ve been seeing kimonos errrrwhere! 👘👘👘 (Tbh, I just wanted to do a post so I could over-use the kimono emoji 💕👘LOVE IT👘💕).
Certain kimonos can be a little daunting to buy sometimes…At least, when I first bought mine I was like “well this is rad AF but how exactly am I gunna wear it?!” (of course it didn’t help when my GF gasped “WHAT issss THAT!?” lol). But I’ll buy just about anything I think is rad and just figure it out later 😝
Here’s how you handleee that new kimono:
- Meet them, shake hands – What are they like? What’s their vibe? Was it a soft handshake or stiff one? After all, every kimono has a personality of its own 😜
- Try them on for size – how does it hang? Are you going for the long or short style?
- Check it out in the mirror, play around – Feelin good?
- Do a double take because you’re so damn cool in that print
- Then rock that kimono right on outta there. It’s all about
confidenceswag. 🌟
To anyone that says you can’t pull off a kimono, I say “TO HELL WITH THEM!” You rock that kimono and you rock it good.👊💥
