I’m usually guilty of a lot of things during Pride (for another day 😜) but one thing I WAS definitely guilty of in my “baby gay” days is the terrible over-use of rainbow paraphernalia during Pride weekend. Oopsies. 😬😬 Now that I am an “A-dult” and Pride veteran, I realize that it’s all about the wardrobe flare, the subtle hint of rainbow without the overdose, or basically just a TIGHT getup, and if theres some dazzle dazzle on there, even better. 🌟🌈🌟
But showing you’re pride is much more than a rainbow tutu (yeah I did that too🙄)…Rainbows aren’t alllll about Pride. They are also a sign of happiness, pure effing happiness.. and good living. A sign of hope. 🙏🏼 A hope which we need right now to get us through this unbelievably hearty breaking tragedy in Orlando. A symbol that we can all unite on, no matter the sexual orientation — but honestlyyyy though! Who doesn’t love a goddamn rainbow!?!?! 🌈🌈🌈🌈👌🏼
Anddddddddddddd not to mention that rainbows are retro and retro is IN.👍🏼🌈 So there is literally not 1 good reason to disregard the rainbow. But I beg you…. PLEASE DO IT IN GOOD TASTE (non of the furry rainbow raver boots and striped rainbow socks that the out of towners sport at pride festivities, kayy people!?) Get on board with the cool rainbow by shopping all my favorite “not too much but just the right amount of rainbow” rainbow products below!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
