My Major Crush on MAC Cosmetics

Unless I’m prepping to dance the night away under the disco ball, I don’t typically wear a lot of makeup. But over the years I have developed a few must-haves, and they all stem from MAC Cosmetics.

My MAC  love story started back in high-school when I got this concealer that I’ve literally worn everyday since. Just a few dabs under the eye for an “I’m super awake and didn’t stay up past midnight” look, or on a blemish and it smoothes out everything! (Honestly the only part of my makeup collection that isn’t MAC is Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer). And that’s it for my face!

Since I don’t wear too much makeup, a really great mascara, (obsessed with the outcome of this False Lashes mascara) and solid lip shade is most important to me. A killer lipstick can step up any look, shop my favorites for fall below:

I love earth tones for eyes, shades of brown and gold. Nowadays, I keep it more sophisticated without shimmer (the first 3 below), but best believe I turn to the shimmer finish (the last 3 below), especially this goldmine shadow, when I’m having a night on the town. (Psss…great eyeshadow brush here)

Oh and if I’m indeed having a night, I always put on MAC’s “Pro Longwear Paint Pot” to keep my shadow on longer. Plus it’s just a great all around eye brightener, if you ask me.

So consider this my first major attempt at a “beauty” post, but I HAD to proclaim my long and everlasting devotion to MAC. Happy to answer any questions regarding the details of any of the MAC products or stuff I use not pictured, just comment below!

Brush favorites:

1. For eyebrows: fill in with this eyebrow shadow and brush
2. For face: Best powder brush EVER because it’s “to-go” size! Perfect for shoving in your purse, makeup bag or leaving at home.
3. For eyes: I use this brush all the time for it’s versatility. Use the skinny width to detail darker colors near the outside corner, or turn flat & fat for bigger, lighter inner-eye shading.
